1. Introduction

The marketing for each one of them tells at great length about how the phone combines the best hardware and the best software, but we know better than to trust marketing.

Huawei Nexus 6P • LG V10 • Samsung Galaxy Note5 • Mystery phone

Still, let's see what our contestants have to offer.

(A) The Huawei Nexus 6P has the biggest sensor and pixels - 12MP on a 1/2.3" sensor makes for 1.55µm individual pixels.

(B) The LG V10 has the widest aperture - f/1.8. Both the V10 and the Samsung Galaxy Note5 have much smaller pixels, 1.12µm.

(C) The Note5's aperture is f/1.9, sitting between the V10's and Nexus 6P's f/2.0.

With such impressive hardware, of course we'll a night time photo. But I'll start off with the most common scenario - shooting during the daytime. There raw resolution is more important and the Nexus is at a bit of a disadvantage with 12MP resolution (it has a square-ish 4:3 sensor, the other two shoot widescreen photos).

Last time around you guys guessed the phones based on just the field of view, which spoiled the fun. This time around, I've down-scaled the images and normalized the field of view so it's not going to be so easy.

2. My personal experience (Read the Disclaimer above before reading the following)

I don’t know exactly what colors those object have.
And many of us, don't sit with calibrated monitors, so even if we knew, we could not be sure that the display doesn’t play tricks on us.

It would be so nice if we could finally stop hearing about them in every camera test.

I rather see that Panasonic that you are unlikely to be able to get your hands on, win the overall image quality, because, at least it's newer. And doesn’t have legend to its name.
People that keep waiting for the second coming of the Nokia PureView, might finally be shown, that there are already devices out there that actually beats it. And devices that are perhaps better in other aspects as well (more apps, more camera functions built in or through third party, better battery life, better performance in camera, in system and in browsing the web...).

Dude I do understand that different exposures, different white balances, due to software in these camera's will tend to produce different type of pics but what am talking about is completely different .

& No, No one needs to do all those sky studies just for a simple blind test..

The solution to this is quite simple actually and lots of tech sites use this already you can also see lots of tests like this on YouTube where in a guy (tester) has a tripod type gadget wherein he fits like 3 to 4 Smartphone at once and does the tests.

If you want to claim that the light situation differs enough from one pic to the other, you need to study the clouds in the sky.

Look at the daytime pictures.
The skies are exposed differently (due to software in the mobile), but on most you see the same cloud formation. Suggesting that not that much time has passed between shots. And it's thus likely that they are shot under similar light-situations.

Yes a cloud passing over the sun, can change the light situation a lot.

But I see nothing that really indicates that what has happened here. It looks more like different exposures, different white balances, due to software, than different light situations.

I’m gonna go with the LG V10 since LG G4 is the best Smartphone camera in the world with the bright estate lens
I think LG V10 is taking this one since they were voted the best camera phone

I didn't see reddish tint, but then it’s clear what brand it is. What phone do you think it is? I guess it’s Note5.
Mystery phone will be either IPHONE 6S Plus or LUMIA 950XL

The mystery phone will either be 950 XL or ip6s but not z5. Z5 has wide angle camera with great fov 24 mm equivalent Lens looking at those 4 images all of them have near about same FOV so might be 950 XL with 26 mm equivalent lens or ip6s with 29mm focal length. So it might be either of the two.

I’ve still got only these above opinions, as I’m testing these phones for few more days then I will post a new hands-on review.
